PROGRESSIONS OF LEARNING:
-COMPETENCY 1: Moving about an area with and without obstacles/ rotations on the spot and on apparatus/ object manipulation/ manipulation skills
-COMPETENCY 2: Opposition movements or actions in duelling 3. activities in separate spaces
TACTICS:
-Learn to do a rally
-Maintain a rally
-Send the ball so the player will need to move
-Send the object in a way that the opponent won’t be able to return it
FORMATION: Players are in teams of 2 and take place in one field close to the wall. One tennis ball is required for each field and cones are marking the playing area.
DESCRIPTION OF PLAY:
-The goal is to send the ball on the wall and make it bounce in a way your opponent won’t be bale to return it
-No locomotor movement with the ball
-The ball must be thrown directly in the ground and must bounce once before it touches the wall
-The other players must catch the ball before it bounces twice on the floor
-All the player must stay in the playing area just as the ball
-LAYER 1: Basic movement pattern and learn to maintain a rally first
-LAYER 2: The players must maintain a rally with the ball
-LAYER 3: Experience different shot (far, close, left, right, lob, etc.) while playing the game
-LAYER 4: Change the game and use squash racket or tennis racket
-LAYER 5: No more bounce on the floor but students must throw the ball directly on the wall
-LAYER 6: Bring the scoring point with each field (different possibilities) or new rules to the game with safe zone
MODIFICATIONS:
-Change the size of the playing area
-Play the game with different type of ball
-Add new rules or new scoring system
SAFETY:
-Don’t throw the ball on your opponents
-Be aware to avoid contact with your teammate
