PROGRESSIONS OF LEARNING:
-COMPETENCY 1: Moving about an area with and without obstacles/ rotations on the spot and on apparatus/ object manipulation/ manipulation skills
-COMPETENCY 2: Cooperates with partner(s) while performing movements or actions in the right place at the right time/ opposition movements or actions in duelling activities in a common space/ cooperation-opposition movements or actions in group activities in a common space
TACTICS:
-OFFENSE: Complete 3 consecutives passes with your teammates and knock down the opponents’ noodles
-DEFENSE: Prevent the offensive team from making 3 consecutives passes by intercepting the ball and defend your noodles
FORMATION: The class is split in 6 teams of 3-4 players. Each team is taking place in a badminton court with their teammates. Teams are differentiated with different color of pennies. Cones are marking the playing area and one ball is required per field. Noodle are placed at the end zone or the shooting zone.
DESCRIPTION OF PLAY:
-The goal is to complete 3 consecutives passes with your teammates in a row without being intercepted by the other team and shoot at their noodles
-Passes must be done in the field only and after 3 passes are done, a shot can be done
-Interception can be made to turn the play or to prevent the other team from shooting at your noodles
-No locomotor movement with the ball
-LAYER 1: Basic movement pattern and players can make some passes with their teammates
-LAYER 2: Play the 5-pass possession game
-LAYER 3: Play the touchdown game
-LAYER 4: Now player only need to do 3 passes and can then shoot at the opponents’ noodles to score points
MODIFICATIONS:
-Add balls
-Change the movement pattern (bounce passes only)
-Shape the dimension of the field
SAFETY:
-Students should keep their eyes up and avoid collision
-End lines away from the wall
