ON THE LINES/ OFF THE LINES

FUNDAMENTAL TECHNIQUES:
-LOCOMOTOR
-NON-LOCOMOTOR

PROGRESSIONS OF LEARNING:
-COMPETENCY 1: Moving about an area with and without obstacles/ rotations on the spot and on apparatus
TACTICS:
-Keep balance when you are on the lines and avoid people as well during the whole duration of the game. Avoid being tagged if taggers are added.
FORMATION: Boundaries are determined by cones. All the player take place in the playing area and show they are ready with a balance posture. All the lines can be used by the students.
DESCRIPTION OF PLAY:
-The players start off the lines
-When the teacher calls on the lines, everybody must go as quickly as possible on the lines
-When the teacher calls off the lines, everybody must go off the lines as quickly as possible
-The goal is to respect the calls of the instructors and the movement pattern asked
-LAYER 1: Basic movement pattern and move safely in the space
-LAYER 2: Use different movement pattern when moving in the playing area
-LAYER 3: Add taggers during the game
MODIFICATIONS:
-Use only one or two colors for the line where students can travel
-Add taggers as in Pac-man (need to be on the same line to touch the player)
-Shape the game with time

-Students must keep their head up when running
-End lines away from the walls
-Soft tagging if there is a tagger
