PROGRESSIONS OF LEARNING:
-COMPETENCY 1: Moving about an area with and without obstacles/ rotations on the spot and on apparatus
TACTICS:
-Follow the beat of the drum while using different movement pattern
FORMATION: The playing area is determined by cones. Every player can move in the playing area and they take place where they want before the game goes on.
DESCRIPTION OF PLAY:
-The goal of the game is to make children move at high intensity as they must follow movement pattern and different tempo
-They must listen carefully to the task asked by the teacher and repeat it while moving in the space
-LAYER 1: Basic movement pattern and move safely in the space
-LAYER 2: Add different rhythm
-LAYER 3: Add different movement pattern (forward, backward, sideways)
-LAYER 4: Add different tempo
-LAYER 5: Add balance postures
MODIFICATIONS:
-Use smaller playing area
-Students can create their own movement pattern
-Vary the movement speed and tempo
-When there is music the students move and when the music stops they must freeze at the place they are
SAFETY:
-Run safely in the space
-End lines away from the walls
-Keeping their head up and scanning around
