FUNDAMENTAL TECHNIQUES:
-LOCOMOTOR

PROGRESSIONS OF LEARNING:
-COMPETENCY 1: Moving about an area with and without obstacles/ rotations on the spot and on apparatus/ balanced stances (postures) on the floor and on apparatus
-COMPETENCY 2: Opposition movements or actions in duelling activities in a common space
TACTICS:
-OFFENSE: Touch the other players when they are crossing the tagging space
-DEFENSE: Avoid being tagged when crossing the running space
FORMATION: Players are all assigned a number from 1 to 3. One group is placed on 3 different line of tagging area. The other players are all one the beginning line.
DESCRIPTION OF PLAY:
-The players on the beginning line must cross all the running area in order to be safe.
-If you get touched by a tagger, you must restart from the very beginning line.
-The taggers need to stay in the tagging area and can only move side to side.
-The goal of the game is that every player can cross the running area by avoiding the taggers.
-LAYER 1: Basic movement pattern and move safely in the space without any taggers so the players can understand the line they need to cross
-LAYER 2: 3 pairs of defenders on 3 different lines
-LAYER 3: Larger space to cover for the defenders
-LAYER 4: Larger space again but defender can now perform a front and a back pivot to touch opponent players as well as moving side to side
-LAYER 5: The game ends only when everyone have crossed the running area
MODIFICATIONS:
-Modify time and space available
-Convert the game to Beaches, Bridges and Boats
-Allow taggers to move in a specific area instead of moving only side to side
SAFETY:
-Students should keep eyes up when moving in the space
-Soft tags when touching a player
-End lines away from the walls
