FUNDAMENTAL TECHNIQUES:

PROGRESSIONS OF LEARNING:
-COMPETENCY 1: Moving about an area with and without obstacles/ rotations on the spot and on apparatus
-COMPETENCY 2: Synchronizes his/her movements or actions with partner(s)
TACTICS:
-OFFENSE: Avoiding people and find a spot in one hoop before the others
-DEFENSE: Find a spot in one available hoop and then help people finding one
FORMATION: Let every player find a spot in the playing area and drop their hoop where they are. The hoop must be place in the boundaries before the game can goes on.
DESCRIPTION OF PLAY:
-The goal of the game is to find a spot in one available hoop before everyone in order to be considered safe.
-Players move in the space and when the music stops, they must find an empty hoop to be safe.
-Players can help each other to find a spot once they have found one for themselves.
-LAYER 1: Basic movement pattern and move safely in the space
-LAYER 2: Add different movement pattern and speed of movement
-LAYER 3: Maintain a balance position in your hoop when your color is called
-LAYER 4: Find a spot in any hoop when the music stops
-LAYER 5: Find a spot in a hoop of the color called. Player can be many in the same if necessary
MODIFICATIONS:
-Use fewer hoops for all the students
-Reduce the space available in the playing area
-Add a tagger when the music stops
-Use songs with specific theme or holidays
SAFETY:
-Enough space for players to move without collision
-Boundaries away from walls
-Let the hoops on the floor
