FUNDAMENTAL TECHNIQUES:
-LOCOMOTOR
PROGRESSIONS OF LEARNING:
-COMPETENCY 1: Moving about an area with and without obstacles
-COMPETENCY 2: Opposition movements or actions in duelling activities in a common space
TACTICS:
-OFFENSE: Avoid defensive team and get to the safe zone
-DEFENSE: Defend your safe zone and freeze players
FORMATION: 4 teams of 4 different colors. 2 teams take place on each side of the field. Every team starts on their defensive zone and put their penny on.
DESCRIPTION OF PLAY:
-The goal of this game is to pass through the defensive zone and attain the safe zone. Once every player of your team is in the safe zone your team has won.
-If you’re touched in the opponent’s zone, you must freeze where you are and wait to be rescued by one of your teammates.
-To be rescued, one of your teammates must grab your arm before he gets freeze as well and take you back to your own side of the field.
-When you are in the safe zone, you are safe from being freeze, but you can still come back to your zone to help people go through the opponent’s zone or to disturb the other players.
-LAYER 1: Basic movement pattern and move safely in the space
-LAYER 2: 3 minutes game to experience it
-LAYER 3: Switch teams
-LAYER 4: 4 teams all against each others
-LAYER 5: Add safe zone where you can go
-LAYER 6: Add a rule: Free-pass revive once per game
MODIFICATIONS:
-Play the game with more or less space
-Create obstacles on the field
-Add teams or play with the duration of the game
-Make a little tournament or play a best out of series
SAFETY:
-Students should keep eyes up when moving in the space
-Keep your heads up when running
-Soft tags when touching a player
-End lines away from the walls
