-COMPETENCY 1: Moving about an area with and without obstacles/ rotations on the spot and on apparatus/ object manipulation/ manipulation skills
-COMPETENCY 2: Synchronizes his/her movements or actions with partner(s)/ opposition movements or actions in duelling 3. activities in separate spaces
TACTICS:
-Learn to do a rally
-Maintain a rally
-Send the ball so the player will need to move
-Send the object in a way that the opponent won’t be able to return it
FORMATION: It’s a 1 vs. 1 game. All players take place on half a badminton court. Only one squash ball and 2 squash racket are required to play this game. Cones are marking the playing area and the middle net. The colored bases are placed in the middle of each zone.
DESCRIPTION OF PLAY:
-The goal is to send the squash ball to the opponent in a way he won’t return it
-Ping pong rules apply for this game
-You need to touch the colored base before each shot and it forces you to come back to the middle of the field as in other net and wall games
-LAYER 1: Basic movement pattern and learn to maintain a rally first
-LAYER 2: The players must maintain a rally with the squash ball
-LAYER 3: Experience different shot (far, close, left, right, lob, etc.)
-LAYER 4: Play the game with scoring system
-LAYER 5: Shape the scoring system for each field and bring new rules
MODIFICATIONS:
-Change the size of the playing area
-Play the game with more or less scoring technique
-Play the game with handicap system at the beginning of each game to increase the pressure
SAFETY:
-End lines away from walls
-Players can’t shot the ball at the opponent and play safely with a soft ball
-Students should use safely the squash racket
