FUNDAMENTAL TECHNIQUES:
-LOCOMOTOR

PROGRESSIONS OF LEARNING:
-COMPETENCY 1: Moving about an area with and without obstacles/ rotations on the spot and on apparatus
-COMPETENCY 2: Opposition movements or actions in duelling activities in a common space
TACTICS:
-OFFENSE: Decision making and tagging the opponent players
-DEFENSE: Change direction and avoid being tagged
FORMATION: Split the class in two teams. Everyone is facing their opponent on the center of the field. Both teams can have a short period of time to decide together about the personages they will take for the game. Don’t forget to remind them about the ability of each personage.
DESCRIPTION OF PLAY:
-Show them the move they need to do for each personage while explaining their ability. Elves are made by crouching down and shaking is hands on his head. Giants are made by a large stance and the wizards are made by doing a back stance and shaking hands in front of them as if they were about to cast a spell.
-Giants beat Elves because they stomp on them. This is why they run away. Wizards beat Giants because they can cast a spell where Giants run away from them. Elves beat Wizards because they can pick pocket them and make the Wizards run away from Elves
-Teams decide a first move they will do and also pick a second one if a draw occurs at the first move.
-Once the game is ready, players make their move and run away from or to their opponent
-LAYER 1: Basic movement pattern and move safely in the space
-LAYER 2: Play the game with the basic rules
MODIFICATIONS:
-Change the symbols with holiday themes or with new object or personages
-Use different movement pattern
SAFETY:
-Students should keep eyes up when moving in the space
-No pushing when grabbing the penny to your opponent
-End lines away from the walls
