FUNDAMENTAL TECHNIQUES:

PROGRESSIONS OF LEARNING:

-COMPETENCY 1: Balanced stances (postures) on the floor and on apparatus/ moving about an area with and without obstacles/ rotations on the spot and on apparatus

TACTICS:

-OFFENSE: Create few series of movement that are hard to follow

-DEFENSE: Follow the movement pattern of your opponent as hard as you can

FORMATION: All the space of the gymnasium can be used to move and to create series of movement pattern. Every player is combined with another player at first before the game can start.

DESCRIPTION OF PLAY:

-The goal of the game is to make children move at high intensity while creating their own movement pattern.

-Students can use any movement pattern that are appropriated and can use the space they want.

-LAYER 1: Basic movement pattern and move safely in the space

-LAYER 2: Follow the movement pattern of your opponent as best as you can for 1 minute and then switch roles

-LAYER 3: Follow the movement pattern of your opponent again but now movement is allowed in the playing area

-LAYER 4: In team of 4 players, repeat the games but with a higher number of followers

-LAYER 5: Create an history while moving in the space

MODIFICATIONS:

-Use different music themes for different movement pattern

-Give a specific theme that they must represent in their movement

-Students must use at least 3 different balance postures in their routine

SAFETY:

-Students must keep eyes up while moving in the space

-Can’t touch any other players

-Clear everything on the ground that could be dangerous
