Cooperative and Team Building Games
Photo
Cooperative and Team building games are very efficient with children. It helps them to develop their team work efficiency and cooperation with other players. The initial goal of a cooperative game is to solve a tactical problem in a group or succeed as a team in one specific task. In this type of game, everyone is involved and take part in the succeeding strategy. It allows children not only to be in competition as other games would do, but rather work cooperatively and communicate with other to solve the current problematic.

Moreover, cooperative and team building games help children to learn one aspect of the life: cooperation. Children will mandatory need to help each other to solve and achieve the desire goal of the game. They will learn to communicate efficiently, create solution, adapt to the situation, work as a group instead of as a person, etc. Cooperatives games really emphasize on participation and challenge rather than defeating each other while looking for who is the strongest player.

This is why cooperative and team building games are interesting, because they bring another dimension to competitive games and allow a maximal individual participation for the whole class. Then, you can always assess cooperatives games into other games by adding a part of communication and cooperation into them. This will bring these other games to a higher level and get closer to team sport as soccer and basketball, where the group work as a team and not an individual.
