FUNDAMENTAL TECHNIQUES:

PROGRESSIONS OF LEARNING:

-COMPETENCY 1: Moving about an area with and without obstacles/ object manipulation

-COMPETENCY 2: Synchronizes his/her movements or actions with partner(s)/ cooperates with partner(s) while performing movements or actions in the right place at the right time

TACTICS:

-Work as a team to find a solution to untie the rope

-Communicate during the game

-Separate yourself from your partner faster than the other teams

FORMATION: Several teams of 2 players are formed. Each player is having a rope. Teams take place in the playing area and they listen to the commands of the teacher before starting the game.

DESCRIPTION OF PLAY:

-The goal of the separate yourself from your teammate before any other team

-All players must hold the rope with their 2 hands and need to hold the rope at all time during the game. No one can let the rope drop and take it back after.

-LAYER 1: Show the children how to play the game and explain different technique

-LAYER 2: Play the game with a simple twist in pair of 2

-LAYER 3: Play the game with several twists in pairs of 2

-LAYER 4: Let the children do their own twist and then try to separate themselves from each others

-LAYER 5: Play the same game in team of 4-5 players

MODIFICATIONS:

-Use different length of rope

-Change the number of players or the time allowed separating yourself from each other

SAFETY:

-Stay away from the walls

-Students should work slowly and safely with the ropes
